The First Proclamation Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Fix your gaze on Jesus Dearest Lord, we will learn Trust; we will open our eyes to see the four-fold love that which surrounds us so closely, and so distantly…. In aligning our focus on this manifested material world we tend to lose sight of our essential selves; that of being “Light Beings”. In other words, we are creatures of intelligence, of energy, having creative power, endowed with the wondrous characteristics of giving, receiving and sharing Love, the primal intent of the Creator! So long as our focus is elsewhere, away from the Intelligence that which created us, and Who shares S/His Being with us, we shall be short-selling ourselves; denying our true possibilities and potential. Now, do we want to do that, even after the Creator warns us of the dangers thereof? Let us listen…. He who puts confidence in man, shall be like the heath in a desert, a naked tree, a sorry shrub, the product of barren ground, useless and worthless. Those who trust to their own righteousness and strength, and think they can do without Christ, the Living True Word, make flesh their arm, and their souls cannot prosper in graces or comforts. Those who make God their Hope, shall flourish like a tree always green, whose leaf does not wither. They shall be fixed in peace and satisfaction of mind; they shall not be anxious in a year of drought. Those who make God their Hope, have enough in him to make up the want of all creature–comforts. They shall not cease from yielding fruit in holiness and good works. The heart, the conscience of man, in his corrupt and fallen state, is deceitful above all things. It calls evil good, and good evil; Let us turn back to our Maker!
Prayer Starter Lord, help us to realise how fallen we are! What pit-falls we have dug for ourselves, what agony we cause for ourselves, and what loneliness we create for ourselves in denying the Truth- the Cosmic Christ ! Have mercy on us O Lord…
